Tuesday, there was an update given about the marathon by Milk PEP who sponsors it and city leaders.
According to officials, six-thousand runners from all 50 states and other countries are expected to participate.
Although the race is open to anyone, the course will be designed with women’s needs in mind.
“In fact, we’ve been doing research all along speaking with real female runners in an effort to understand what would prevent you from being part of a marathon. Some of these ladies will be breastfeeding during that time. So we’ll have little spots set up along the route where they can breastfeed privately,” Miranda Abney, Consumer Marketing Senior Director at Milk PEP said.
November 16th at 7:00 am outside of City Hall is when this marathon starts.
The race has guaranteed to keep it to a max of 7,000 runners
