Independence Day festivities start early across Coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry, with some events starting this Saturday.

Start celebrating this weekend and continue into next week with many events to choose from. You’ll see more than just fireworks!

Statesboro Firecracker Fest

  • When: Saturday, 5 to 1o p.m.
  • Where: Mill Creek Regional Park
  • Price: Free admission
  • Details: The Firecracker Fest will feature kid’s activities to live music to fireworks. The fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m.

City of Richmond Hill Independence Day Celebration

  • When: Saturday at 4 p.m.
  • Where: J.F. Gregory Park
  • Price: Free admission
  • Details: Fireworks will start briefly after sunset, and there will be plenty of activities for everyone!

Town of Bluffton Independence Day Celebration

  • When: Sunday, 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Where: Old Town Bluffton
  • Price: Free admission
  • Details: Fireworks begin at shortly after 9 p.m. and can be seen from the Oyster Factory and Wright Family Parks. There will be food trucks, carnival games, and music.

  • When: July 4 – July 7
  • Where: Various locations
  • Details: Savannah Stars and Stripes runs from July 4 – 7 downtown, with events from fireworks to entertainment to family games.

Tybee Island 4th of July Fireworks

  • When: July 4, 9 to 10 p.m.
  • Where: Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion
  • Price: Free admission
  • Details: Fireworks will start between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. There will also be more events from July 1-3 leading up to the holiday.

  • When: July 4, 6 to 9:30 p.m.
  • Where: Mary Ross Waterfront Park
  • Price: Free admission
  • Details: Go to this celebration for old-fashioned games like sack racing and more. There will also be Hot Banana Coffee and fireworks over the East River at 9 p.m.

  • When: July 4 at 7 p.m.
  • Where: Shelter Cove Harbour and Marina
  • Price: Free admission
  • Details: Fireworks begin shortly after sunset. There will also be face-painting, music, and carnival games.

  • When: July 4 around 9 p.m.
  • Where: Harbour Town Lighthouse
  • Price: $9 cash only for a Sea Pines Day pass if you need to purchase one, free if you have a Sea Pines pass

Harbour Town Fourth of July Parade

  • When: July 4 at 9:30 a.m.
  • Where: Harbour Town in the Sea Pines Resort
