Glide Bio
Glide is the premier STP Tribute and takes pride in an authentic, youthful, high energy, ’90’s – early 00’s era stage show that does the look, sound and music justice.
In 2015, Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland passed away and the band as the world knew it would never be the same. Looking for ways to honor one of their faorit singers and musical groups, the opportunity presented itself in the form of a pandemic that forced a stop to all live shows in 2020. Singer Jeff Lucero guitarist Niles Lewis, and bassist Jake Parlor came together on “quarantine” home recordings in South Carolina where they set out to re-record STP classics “Vasoline” and “Dead and Bloated”. The result pulled i thousands of plays and encouragement all over the country along with a version of “Lady Picture Show” so close to the original, that it was flagged for copywright violation on Facebook with it being confused for the original STP song, itself. When the songs far exceeded expectations as a recording project, the guys formed a full-fledged tribute band and Glide was born, ready to play live shows and honor the best version of Stp, while incuding their covers songs and Velvet Revolver hits.
