The Savannah Arts Academy is hosting a fashion show and designer showcase.
The students have sketched ideas, made patterns, made drapes and trial versions, then cut apparel, fashion fabric, and now they’re ready for the show.
This year’s theme is “Metaphysical Aquatica.” Students envisioned a dreamscape of the ocean with their imaginations, materials, and sewing skills.
As David Poole says, “They have been working on their designs conceptually, based on our theme, and they’ve stitched, made, and everything else,” they’re ready to showcase what Savannah Arts Academy has to offer. “It’s gonna be a crazy wonderful evening showcasing their work.”
Three performances will be held. A first show will take place at 7:00pm on Friday, and two more will take place on Saturday, one at 2:30pm and the last at 7:00pm, all at Savannah Arts Academy.
